Jackie’s Academy is my baby. My whole heart. My whole grind. It’s a free, Black‑centered space I built so our community can grow itself; our money, our knowledge, our resources, circulating right back into us instead of leaking out into systems that don’t give a damn about us. I made everything in here, and every piece is designed to make us stronger, sharper, louder, and harder to erase. And let me be real with you: The Subtracted is the core of it all. It’s the part of this work that eats time, energy, sleep, and sanity. It’s the part that hurts. It’s the part that demands the most from me and gives the most back to the community. It’s where I document the Black people this country tries to disappear. It’s where I dig through lies, contradictions, autopsies, timelines, and state‑issued bullshit to build a public record they can’t bury. It’s where I sit with families who will never get answers. It’s where I absorb trauma that ain’t mine but becomes mine because I’m the one carrying it into the light. This ain’t content. This ain’t commentary. This is a ledger of what white America keeps subtracting from us, and keeping that ledger alive costs me something every single time. And I still keep it free. Because mainstream media ain’t telling these stories. Because the state sure as hell ain’t telling these stories. Because our people deserve access to the truth without a paywall. But free doesn’t mean it doesn’t cost me. Free means I’m paying the cost so you don’t have to. And that cost is getting heavier. Jackie’s Academy is bigger than just calling out white folks; though I do that too, loudly and unapologetically. I help them understand the everyday shit Black people deal with because awareness and accountability start with truth. But I also pour directly into my own people. Financial freedom tools. Leadership coaching. Project management guidance backed by 17+ years of experience. Wellness tips. Children’s book recommendations. Because our growth ain’t one‑dimensional; it’s whole, layered, and rooted. When you donate, you ain't “supporting a creator.” You’re supporting The Subtracted, Jackie’s Academy, and Jackie’s Helping Hands — my mutual aid program that puts money directly into Black people's pockets. You’re investing in a community that invests in itself. You’re keeping these resources free. You’re preserving Black history.
