Hey y'all, it's your girl, Jackie!

  • I am a 38-year-old Black woman, a proud mother of two beautiful daughters, and happily married. My journey in corporate America began at the age of 21 when I started as an administrative assistant, earning $30,000 a year. Over the course of 17 years, I have faced adversity head-on, including experiences with racism, and have successfully climbed the corporate ladder to the position of manager, overseeing a team of 34, managing over six healthcare IT applications, and earning $180,000. The numerous testimonials featured on this website reflect my strong leadership skill set. Unlocking people’s true potential is my superpower! My experiences navigating the complexities of corporate America as a Black woman make my accomplishments over the past decade even more remarkable. One of my proudest achievements is establishing the Black Alliance Employee Resource Group (ERG) at one of my companies, where I not only lead the group but also coordinate various "lunch and learn" sessions for allies. I have had the honor of interviewing the first Black female impressionist and developing content to celebrate various significant Black holidays. Growing up in predominantly white areas has given me unique insights into the dynamics of race and culture, shaping my understanding of how different communities operate. I am an introvert and passionate about reading, as I believe knowledge is power. In my free time, I enjoy good food, dope music, engaging conversations, and the beauty of nature. Above all, Black culture is everything to me, and I strive to uplift and celebrate it in all aspects of my life. I hope you enjoy my academy! Together we will go far!

When I first found Jackie online, some of her content was a lil hard for me to read. I've always taken pride in being anti-racist but some of her posts hit close to home & I realized I still had work to do. I've followed her to learn & understand how I can be a better anti-racist && to not let myself jump up & say "not all white ppl" like we're known to do. She's inspired me to become a better person & to openly love Black ppl in a way that is respectful & not centering me. She has a wealth of knowledge about Black History & how to treat Black ppl in today's society. I relish her posts & actively look for them daily. I met Jackie in 2019 when she became the Project Manager for the Willow Ambulatory Module. Willow Ambulatory was new territory for Jackie, but she handled it gracefully. She became the backbone of our team. Jackie came in and learned the product, ensured that all milestones were met, and strategically aligned all project components to ensure the project would kick off and go live on time. She provided outstanding leadership, organization, and communication skills between the members and the project team. Her demeanor was very calming and precise. Working with Jackie was a pleasure. I learned so many things from her over the years that I can't thank her enough. Jackie has always been a rock star in my eyes! Keep pressing forward with the next phase of your career.
